Zip Line Tour

Spend your ADVENTURE LOCALLY!  Don't drive days for a zip line tour when one of the the BEST tours is right here in Rockford!

This NEW tour contains one of Illinois longest, fastest,and highest Patented Dual Supper Zip lines! Come zip the first double layered tour in Illinois which is also installed by industry leader EBL; first to install tours in Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Hawaii, Alaska, North Carolina, Idaho, Florida and New Foundland Canada!

The overall course has 5 zip lines ranging from 150 - 1,000 feet long, 65 feet off the ground, dual racing zips, double decker zip lines, and a tricky Indiana Jones style suspension bridge. And NEW for 2016 a 55' Quick Jump ! Full tours may take about 2 -2.5 hours with smaller groups perhaps around an 1.5 hours.  Safety is our top priority.  You can relax knowing you are in the experienced hands of our trained and certified guides. 


Haunted Zip Zombie Tour

WARNING - Strobe lights and other special effects may cause seizures.

Our Night Tour Halloween style, the Zip Zombie Terror Tour lets you howl at the harvest moon as you zip among the terrors of the dark. Dare to cross the suspension bridge over spooky ghouls waiting for you below. Make your narrow escape from creepy zombies as you climb the tower before descending the Quick Jump. It's spookier in the dark!

This fully guided tour begins by zipping off a haunted 20 foot tower and arriving at another 45-foot tower within a matter of seconds! The tour consists of 5 zip lines ranging from 200 to our patented double wide 1,000 feet long, our Indiana Jones suspension bridge, and a Quick Jump parachute jump simulator. The haunted platforms and Quick Jump provide stellar views of the city lights and foothills to the North.

This tour includes ALL Zips 1,2,3,4,5, the Indiana Jones style suspension bridge and the Quick Jump.

$59 per person

Height minimum is 48" with a weight range of 75 - 275 pounds.

Tour may last up to 2.5 hours with larger group sizes with experienced guests and smaller tours requiring less time.

Harvest Zip Tour

The Harvest Zip Tour is a Fall harvest themed zip and consists of Zip #1 and #2 with the Indiana Jones suspension bridge. Afraid of the bumps in the night? This is the perfect tour for those afraid of heights, zombies, or needing an orientation experience before taking on the longer faster zip lines. It is also a great tour for booking of Birthday Parties, Special Events, or other guests who have limited time frames or larger group numbers.

Family-friendly pumpkin painting will be available during Harvest Zip Tour times!

This tour includes only Zips 1 & 2 (200-300 foot zips)

$29 per person.

Height minimum is 42" with a weight range of 60 - 275 pounds.

Tour may last up to 1.5 hours with larger group sizes with experienced guests and smaller tours requiring less time.

Moon Zip Night Tours

Come join us for our night tours! Tours have an opportunity to watch participate while night falls across Alpine Hills. Every guide is equipped with a low-light lantern and every guest is provided their own personal glow stick. As you zip through the trees an eerie glow will heighten the senses and send chills over your body! Trust us, it's a rush!

Who can attend?

The tours are designed to operate best with guests weighing between 60-275 pounds with a 42” height minimum. Operation outside of this range is not recommended. Guests who are pregnant, have back injuries, or other medical conditions that may limit their participation are recommended to seek medical clearance prior to participation. Tour requires moderate physical exertion for walking, hiking uneven surfaces, stair climbing, and standing / balancing on a swinging suspension bridge.

Business groups: Please call our office to secure a custom tour date and time.  Published open dates on our calendar are reserved for individuals and families.  To book a Business Group, please call our office. Any group discounts will be applied off the currently published non-resident rate.

Full Tour Includes:

Consists of 7 challenges; 5 zip lines from 150 foot to 1,000 feet long, a 75 foot long Indiana Jones style suspension bridge (easy/moderate difficulty) and 55' Quick Jump.  Tour takes roughly 2.5 hours for a group of 12, slightly faster for smaller groups.


$39 Short Tour (Zips 1 & 2 w/ bridge)

Short Tour Includes:

Consists of zip lines 1 and 2 from 150 foot to 300 feet long, including a 75 foot long Indiana Jones style suspension bridge (easy/moderate difficulty).  Tour takes roughly 1 hours for a group of 12, slightly faster for smaller groups. This is perfect for birthday parties or individuals looking to just try out the tour before coming back to attend the full tour.

Open to the public, birthday parties, special events, corporate events, and more!

Reservations are strongly recommended.

Online reservations may be made up to 24 hours in advance of a specific tour time. 

Less than 24 hours notices requires calling our office to book manually.  Any online booking discounts will not apply.


Cancelation Policy [Firm]

72 hour minimum notice policy for refunds or reschedules. 

Other terms and conditions may apply. Discounts may apply to larger groups based on the Non-resident rate only. ZR reserves the right to refuse service to anyone. A signed waiver is required to participate. Tours operate rain or shine, warm or cold (other weather permitting). Tours canceled by Zip Rockford will result in a full refund of the ticket price only.
